Wow download speed

We go away for the weekend and bring our new awesome desktop so we can play wow in the hotel. But as soon as we fire it up in our room, we find that there has been a major update which we must download before playing. And the hotel is port blocking the update.

So we drive the computer back home and plug it in for the update and I'm watching it from the hotel to see when it gets done.

At 1.33 Mbps for the past day and a half, it still is not done.

That's 1.33Mbps / 8 bits = 0.16625 MB/sec x 60 sec = 9.975 MB/min x 60 min = 598.5 MB/hour x 24 hour = 14,364 MB/day

We started the download at noon on Friday and it is now 6pm on Saturday. That's 30 hours.

30 hours x 600MB/hour = 18000MB so far

We believe the update is 54GB.

Download finished on Sunday at 11:00am for a total of 47 hours.
