Replacing the low beam on the passenger side of this car. High beam still works, but high beam and low beam are in the same bulb.

The replacement bulb is probably in stock at a local car parts store for about $15.

I'll be installing this bulb.

The passenger side has two plastic covers protecting the headlights. The drivers side only has one. There is a kind of plastic cotter pin that holds the outer cover in place.

Pinching plastic pin to remove the outer cover

With the pin removed, the outer cover can be hinged out and removed.

The inner cover is held by two metal clips that can be pushed aside.

With both covers removed, you can reach the bulb assembly and pinch the metal clips that hold it in place. Then it will come loose and be dangling on the wire. Pull on the metal collar around the bulb to remove it from the socket.

The burned out bulb

The hardest part was getting the plastic covers back into place. Both covers need to have the base lined up properly first so that the top can be clamped into place.
