South wind

It was 49 and sunny this morning, so I had to bike in, despite the 80% chance of rain. I didn’t count on the 20-30 mph south wind though. The bike path is right on the river and a lot of it is exposed to that wind. I only remember fighting the wind on the way home from work, headed north. But this was pretty brutal.
A co-worker told me that when you are biking, hills are an investment, but the wind is a tax.
