After the painful upgrade to Ubuntu Hardy Heron, I know have full access to my Arduino from Linux. It was too embarrassing to try to use it through Windows.
I'm now up to lesson 3 in my lessons.
And the most helpful tips for 64-bit Arduino joy was from this fine Finnish chap.
