Responsibilities include the competent implementation of assigned INFOSEC technology development, the design and implementation of hardware and software solutions to specific problems, advisory and training responsibilities, and the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
You will ideally have a degree in either electrical and electronics engineering or computer science and mathematics with proven work experience in one or more of the following:
A sense of teamwork, good organisational skills and self-motivation are required.  It is also esssential that you have good written and oral communication skills, are mathematically competent, and are able to keep up with technology and computer developments.  A sound theoretical background and practical experience in cryptography and/or information technology would be an advantage.

Whakatane - Database and Internet Analyst Programmer
Environment Bay of Plenty Regional Council
The position holder will be responsible for the analysis and programming of desktop database applications (Microsoft Access + Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle RdB) and with the development and provision of data via the Internet.  Considerable relevant experience in Visual Basic, VBA, OO or structured programming work.  Some internet development experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided as required.
