Last night was the first night that we slept in our own bed for 14 months. This morning was the first morning that we didn't get our clothes out of suitcase. The trip is officially over.
We'd like to thank the following people for the use of their beds for the last 14 months:
Kendra Nordin, the Charles household, the Bennetts household, Ewen Henderson, Diane and Terry Manning, Bill Hall, Dad and Peggy, Kashmira and Scott Baldauf, several strangers in India, and countless guesthouses and hostels everywhere.

We're home! Thank goodness.
Our first order of business is to get the house spruced up (refinished floors, and patched walls). While we're waiting for that to be done, we work in the garden. It is has been neglected for four years but we get things whipped into shape pretty quickly. Here is our list of what was planted and when so we can figure out what works and what doesn't.
I've started work on a summary chart for the trip. It boils everything down to the essentials. Then there is a summary of another sort, our Harper's Index of the trip.

I regretted taking out the link to the Rettigs trip, so here they are again. Ooo, I'm jealous that they were in India for Holi.
